Without question, Rome has left us a legacy that still influences our lives. Your goal with this activity is to look at evidence of their legacy and come to a conclusion that answers the question, “Did Rome leave a positive lasting legacy?”
Challenge yourself to think deeply about each exhibit in the slide show. Making a decision about some of the exhibits may seem easy, a no-brainer, but that is not necessarily the case. As an example, it might seem easy to say that Roman art left a positive legacy. But, the Greeks had a different idea. Greek art reflected an ideal form.
